Ron Paul calls out Herman Cain at Republican debate
2012 Elections, Breaking News, Headlines Wednesday, October 12th, 2011
By Rachel Weiner, The Washington Post
When the candidates were invited to ask each other questions in Tuesday night’s debate, most focused their fire on the front-runner, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. But Texas Rep. Ron Paul targeted Herman Cain — and caught the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO being disingenous at best.
“Mr. Cain, in the past you have been rather critical of any of us who would want to audit the Fed. You have said … that we were ignorant and that we didn’t know what we are doing, and … you’re not going to find out anything, because everybody knows everything about the Fed,” Paul said.
Paul asked whether Cain had changed his mind, now that an audit has taken place.
Cain responded, as he did frequently throughout the debate, by disputing the question. “You have misquoted me,” he said. “I did not call any of your people ignorant. I don’t know where that came from,” he said. “You’ve gotta be careful of the stuff you get off the Internet.”
A former chairman of the board of directors of the Kansas City Federal Reserve, Cain went on to say that he didn’t agree with the recent actions of the Federal Reserve, and that he did not object to an audit — it just wasn’t his “top priority — 9-9-9.”

I have heard Cain more than once say the Fed didn’t need to be audited and anyone who thought so was ignorant. Now he’s changing his story as neocons tend to do when their words are tossed back to them. The other candidates can’t escape Dr. Paul’s great memory.
could you send me that link where he said they were ignorant. i just want as much info on the candidates as possible before i vote. the debates sure are not helping me with info, all they are doing is slinging mud, true or false, to get ahead. i want all of the infor i can get to decide.
Judy,
Dr. Paul has a fantastic memory and a remarkable knowledge of the English language. If he says something so boldly during a presidential debate, you can bet one of those floating Federal Reserves Note bottom dollars that it is correct.
In addition to that, after you listen/watch some of the clips offered here, one must wonder about such an absurd statement by “Spice the Pie” Herman Cain about just calling up the local Federal Reserve and simply asking for a public relations (P.R.) person to come to any regular inquisitor and give them all the information that they request especially when it has not been given to Congress for at least 30 years that we are aware of. Even so, no business gives out the inner workings of itself to just anyone, let alone something that is the most used tool to rule the entire world.
“Spice the Pie” Herman Cain really thinks that we are very dumb including a brilliant man such as Congressman Dr. Ron Paul and thinks that to such a degree that he openly says it. In a way, he is correct for it seems that the masses marvel at such almost offensive statements taking them as the gospel along with most of the media backing up that train of thought as being quite correct and therefore acceptable.
We are doomed unless we back as well as understand the messages of Ron Paul,
Rhonda

The military-industrial complex, corrupt politicians, global bankers, Wall Street insiders, the FED, the biased media, the waterboarders, and the IRS don’t like what we’re doing.
But every good American (and liberty-loving, law-abiding person of the world) is applauding us, and daring to hope for a better future.
Want to know his consistent position on any issue?

Cain lied. There is video, audio, and of course HIS OWN BOOK that say exactly what Dr. Paul claimed.
Where are the MSM stories exposing Cain?
I have followed Ron Paul for nearly 20 years or more without finding him to misquote anyone. The Federal Reserve has had a free hand since we have gone off the Gold Standard with the ability to print money at will; equal to the abuses of Social Security and Medicare going into the general fund. Both abuses were allowed by many Presidents and Congresses for 30 years. So we have to find reasonably honest people to replace their Royal Hinies of Privileges in al Parties. The problem lies with ‘old rules of Caucuses’ choosing for the masses. Great befor radio, TV, Internet and generally 70% at least with an 8th grade Education. The Populace loses power to the few that can prance through Iowa, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida to do the ‘dance’.
If you want to know the truth, watch this. I wish Cain & his supporters would watch it & comment upon it.
Cynthia,
Wow, and it was just put together. That is one that needs to be spread all around since now that the darling of system is “Spice the Pie” Cain. Thanks.
